Brave launched an AI Grounding API within the Brave Search API, alongside Free, Base AI, and Pro AI plans for developers building AI systems and applications.

The AI Grounding API connects AI systems to the Brave Search web index for grounding. Brave says the goal is to reduce hallucinations and improve answer quality. The API is part of the broader Brave Search API.

- Base AI: $5.00 per 1,000 requests, up to 20 queries per second, 20 million queries per month, and rights to use in AI apps.
- Pro AI: $9.00 per 1,000 requests, up to 50 queries per second, unlimited queries per month, and rights to use in AI apps.
