Background
Ask Brave builds on Brave Search's earlier AI features. The company launched Summarizer in 2023, later renamed Answer with AI, and now referred to as AI Answers. Brave reports that Brave Search handles more than 1.5 billion monthly queries.
Brave says Ask Brave is designed to reduce switching between chat tools and traditional search. The interface integrates videos, news articles, products, businesses, and shopping modules within the chat flow. The approach is search-driven responses augmented by large language models.
