Reddit’s Q2 2025 shareholder letter shows the platform passing two milestones: weekly searches now exceed 70 million and AI-powered Reddit Answers serves six million users each week.
Search strategy and growth metrics
CEO Steve Huffman said Reddit “is positioned to become a true search destination,” citing its two decades of user discussions as a unique indexable archive. Improved ranking models and faster results underpinned the quarter’s gains.
- Weekly on-platform searches: 70 million
- Priority markets for ongoing upgrades: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and India
- Global marketing campaigns set for later this year to promote the revamped search experience
AI-powered Reddit Answers gains traction
Reddit Answers, introduced earlier this year, now posts a five-times quarter-over-quarter jump to six million weekly users. The tool summarises relevant threads, cites original discussions for transparency and is being tested directly within standard results to shorten the path from query to answer.
Product roadmap and revenue outlook
Management is focusing resources on the core site, search and international growth while slowing work on digital goods. Reddit noted that 40 percent of posts signal purchase intent, aligning with its ad and commerce initiatives. The company projects Q3 2025 revenue between $535 million and $545 million.
